Our scans are performed by professionally trained and medically accredited sonographers with over 35 years of combined experience in general and obstetric scanning.

Our fully-qualified sonographers’ expertise and state-of-the-art technology produce photos that are second to none.

We offer reassurance scans and gender scans from 12 weeks of age and our 3D/4D scans from 14-36 weeks of age. This experience allows you to be able to see your baby throughout the different stages of your pregnancy and gives you the opportunity to get to know and bond with your baby-to-be.

Baby’s face can be seen clearly from 12-36 weeks of age. We always strive to get the best photos for you of your beautiful baby to be. However, clarity depends on baby’s position, placenta location, amniotic fluid levels and maternal body habitus. These factors are out of the sonographer’s control and individual results will vary.

While your scan will be performed by a medically accredited sonographer, there are a few things that affect our ability to determine your baby’s gender correctly. Clarity depends on baby’s position, placenta location, umbilical cord location, amniotic fluid levels and maternal body habitus. Hormones in your pregnancy can cause the genetalia to be swollen and can at times makes a vulva look like a penis or the penis can be smaller and look like a vulva. The accuracy of genital scanning is approximately 80%.

We have techniques such as walking around or having a cold drink to encourage your baby to move. If your baby is not in an ideal position, you will be rescanned on the day or rebooked to an alternative day depending on the sonographer's assessment.

3D/4D ultrasound uses the same machine and technology as your medical grade ultrasound. Ultrasound has been used for decades with no known side effects.

You do not need a Doctor’s referral to access our services. Our services are NOT for medical or diagnostic purposes. Our scans do not replace your medically appointed scans and it is your responsibility to ensure all medical scans are carried out.

Keeping hydrated is good for your baby but no full bladder is needed for our scans. Your comfort is all that matters to us at Trinity Imaging.
